SEAFISHING BOOSTER

Hi Guys & Dolls,

Of late since the last fuel increase, we now seldom see reports from our forumers posting pictures of their catches, is it because they don’t go out so often as before to save cost or the sea is no more as productive as before. No matter what fishing is still in our blood and we have to keep on fishing and here is some good news for those hardcore anglers who want go to far away places to quench their thirst of hooking some real monsters from the deep.

As of 25TH JULY, AIRASIA IS HAVING SPECIAL FLIGHT FROM KL TO MAKASSAR AT RM355.00 TWO WAYS, now this is a welcoming news for anyone who wish to fish at Makassar where you can find some real good fishing. Recently a group of hardcore anglers had their thrills struggling with giant escolars, GTs, sharks, marlin, groupers, red rubies, wahoo, barracuda, etc… Now enjoy some pictures which I hope will act as a
booster for those interested in going to Makassar…

Note : Anyone interested to try their luck at Makassar, can get in
touch with me, cheers!!

Here are some more good news for those crazy about jigging and popping for GTS at the Trengganu oil rigs. TEAM XZOGA last week ventured to some far away oil rigs for the quest of hunting the GTs near the Indonesia border off Trengganu. They landed numerous GTs ranging from 20 to 40 kg. All the anglers on board Che Mat’s boat had their fair share of struggling with those line stripping GTs, let the pictures tell the stories.

Uncle
This is really a big booster and poison for us!!![8D]
I think it is cheaper for us(Sabahan) to go to Makassar from Tawau but a lot of transit to do from land to sea and to air and back to sea something like that. I never been to Makassar yet but always wanted to do my fishing there.
Cheers

Hi Uncle Thomas,

Do you have the contact for charter boats in Makassar ?

Thanks

Logistically, is to fly to Jakarta, then transit to Makassar, do let me know if you have a group of 4 to 6 anglers. There are boats for 4 pax and boats for 6pax & above.

Hello CJ,

YES, you can bring some fish back, but the excess baggage cost will cost you a bomb. There are freezers on boat, the crew will help you to process the fish and freeze it, only frozen fish with proper packing will be allowed on board, advisable to hand carry within the limit.

Hello Pete,

According to Denis, those GTs they had landed were between 20 to 40 kg, there were numerous break off which were beyond their control, could be some real big mama down there.

Would you be interested, it will be a 5 days trip, the boat rental is RM5,500.00 with ice on board. Bait, food and drinks will be on anglers account, the crew will help to cook for the anglers. There is a small toilet on board, the cabin [non aircond] can sleep 10 anglers.
