Waaah your hands faster than mine.. I just got mine and have not even spooled it up yet…
C is for casting…
F is for flipping…

I have not used it yet but I think I will turn off all the F and just engage 1 block for the casting.. see how that goes… or if gatal one F and one C hahahahahaha… I will keep you posted on developments… this reel will see a lot of action once fishing season in the east coast starts… after fiddling with the reel.. so far without using it.. I think this reel is like a million times better than the Revo STX in terms of looks and the quality of build I feel has also improved… time to go and look for some line and spool in this baby and take it for a spins…

No pain no gain, dont try dont know… muahahahahaha

mrT… how come the salty stage i saw in one of the shops very the giant one eh? looks & feels like the toro winch… who the heck gonna use that for shore casting? urgghhh… or maybe i saw a different model? mmmm… the inshore looks cute in comparison…

cheers

Binjai bro,

Tat one is LJ model edi… tat one is huge and more suitable for sea

There’s another model wit standard revo size is called BJ salty stage… initially i like u too bro, kinda blur haha. This smaller reel look damn cool and damn nice to use also lor

Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you

TJS manage to try casting with my BJ today. he said good. i dunno how to rate since this is my first baitcaster, but i do feel very comfortable with it.

and even though today wass my first time really fishing with a baitcaster, it was quite easy to cast. my first time using baitcaster to fish, n i din kena beehon when fishing. only kena beehoon once while practicing, before leaving the house.

still a lot of getting used to, but was fun getting a 1.1kg haruan on it just now.

the bj only got one model (with left and right hand). the lj got 2 models but both only right hand (i think). wkl2020 just asked me to get the lj-3 for him that day. passing to him tmrw. can ask him to test out soon n let u guys know how it works out for him.
lj-1 has the most shallow spool i’ve ever seen on any baitcaster. but maybe it makes up with the width of the spool. otherwise, i dun undertand how it can even take enough line for heavier seafishing.

i’m a newbie to baitcasting reels. not bad la for first time baitcasting in my life, got a small flowerhorn before that too.

Nice Catch Bro!!!

Wahh i’m first time using baitcaster and play lure too, and i bought this BJ since inshore is hard to find..

Unfortunately, i’m using same rod like you too.. Rapala 5.6 8-17lb, since it is cheap…

Maybe, beginners thinking is same.. [:D] Sou your set up is exactly like mine, except i’m using 15lb tuffline braide, end yeah.. With all ‘C’ on and all ‘F’ off, i dont get any birdnest for a 7 - 10 g lure

this rod i got based on my own feel la. some ppl also recommended it.

but there were others who also said that it usually can’t take knocks, so have to careful when using it. but they said fighting power is ok.

i got this rod coz can’t wait to try the reel. haha. anyway, it’s cheap n feels ok. if get something else eventually, can just keep for backup. i plan to upgrade la. since wkl2020 n a group of other forumers poison me with custom rods the other day.

Wah cannot take some knock ah? hmm if like that i’ll try to take care of it gently..

If you dont mind, can you share with me the rating of your mono line and its brand?[:)]

can’t remember 10 or 12 lb dy. suffix line. now just use cheap one la. still getting used to the reel. dun wanna waste by using braided n getting bird’s nest.

" …dun wanna waste by using braided n getting bird’s nest. "

I also started with the same reasoning - mono was cheaper, and easier to untangle.

But when I switched over to braid, I found that NEW braid was not impossible to untangle - and when it got worn out, I could always reverse it on the spool. This gave me many weeks to hone my new skills - more than sufficient to do a " OK, so so lah !" job at casting.

Not saying that braid is better than mono - but just don’t simply buy mono that will be redundant in a matter of weeks if you actually intend to go to braids.[:)]
