the revo elite cb gp has no magnetic brakes coz cb stands for centrifugal brake.
if u interested to have both braking system… the elite ib will be a good choice.. coz ib stands for infini brake (combination of magnetic n centrifugal… which according to the above linked article, is a concept abu has taken from pflueger).
the ib looks so tempting la… but it’s kinda pricey. much more expensive than the other revos i think.

StewartK, where did u manage to grab the new 2010 revo sx? have been searching all the tackle shops (that i know of) all no stock, some only has left hand. Me looking for right hand… mind giving a simple review as well? or if u want to create a new topic for a full review

As for stock … vendors say mid-May … mid-May has arrived but stock hasn’t arrived yet and they are unable/unwilling to give a guesstimate on the price [V] … seems they will only know the price once stock arrives …

Sorry bro’s was so busy. Anyway, i got the reel at a real bargain. Saw it on mudah.my. It was going for RM500 but bundled with an Expert Graphite Carbon Cube 6’6" rod and a Seahawk Black Scorpion 6’6" rod. That was inclusive of postage from Sarawak to KL so i jumped at it lorr..
The reel is simply gorgeous and in great condition. Never used in saltwater (opened it up and checked the important bits) so no corrosion. The swept handle is such a change compared to my Silver Max and i must say the increased number of bearings makes it silky smooth. The Cast Control Knob has click adjustments which take a lot of guess work out when it comes to making adjustments. Haven’t really taken it our on the water yet, just a few test casts with a plug in the living room. Hehe! Can’t wait to put it thru it’s paces soon though! Then at least i’ll have more to say about it.
