i think if ur using cacing is no problem… any fish will bite that thing… i’ve never tried it b4… but for sure it will work… gud luck!!! dont 4get to post the result inside here…

just came back frm kemaman weekend… last week i saw anglers fly fishing over there… their result quite gud.. but some cannot land the fish… PUTUS!!!.. but i can see they enjoying them self… only… they complaining bout the power cable for the Lampu disturbing their fly line… i heard the management r applying for tnb power… mayb it can help our pros of fly fishing rite…?!!

Hi .. i’ve tried using cacing and cengkerik … hhmmm .. i landed pacu. using bottom and also float. Few times i have to change my hook because i didn’t know in the middle of the pond there is a “tunggul” … so next time i’ll be mo careful. The pacu was superb. Don’t know what the owner give them to eat. Steroid maybe. Differ from pacu at Danau Biru paypond.

after i met my fellowship oakinn… he ask me to do some experiment on the pond using fly hook spinned with normal spinner n lite rod… these r the result… landed only 1 pacu… got 3 strike… 2 lepas!!!.. ceh!! at least hav the chances to show it to u guys… hav a look k…
that place so hot la that time… cant stand… need to improve the technique… at that time using 10lb line…25lb leader… also small batu…hooked wit fly hook… i dunno wat its call that kind of hook… bro oakinn gave it to me when i visited his tackle shop… and the pacu winss!!! ceh!! me vs pikacu = 1 - 3

Any one here ever landed other than rohu or pacu at this pond? I saw one guy landed belida .. but small one using prawn. Any other type of fish here? A saw red talapia swimming but didn’t take bait. Anybody know how to get one? What the bait used to get other type of fish?

for me … u can used both of them… if u used cricket u tend to attack the bottom feeding fish… lots of fish eat that thing..baung? keli? pacu? patin n rohu mayb…? me my self prefer to used artificial lure… but not to forget the dough ( dedak n flour)… sumtimes i used live bait as well… hehehe [}:)] just try both of them k… mayb ur luck better than me…rite…?

that talapia wet to school la bro… hehehhe[:D][:D]… the management guy once told me that talapia usually ate the pellet… but sumtime ate the dough also… depends on ur luck… u can used float n hook with the pellet… surely u can get the talapia… try to mixed ur dough with pellet… bcoz they r feeding the fish wit pellet…
conclusion… we or u or me didnt know wat is the best bait for the fish… so… let us think like fish… can eh…? heheeh lets try every type of lure n bait… dead or alive… then we can postmortem inside this post…k… hope to get the result ASAP…

Thanks for the info…Ok I will check it out by using crickets and other baits, from your observation on this pond is it a worthwhile place to fish, or just another place where they take money with no fishes..but as you have mentioned the plce practises C&R i would assume that it is ok…
Will keeep you informed if I managed to catch some, ok maybe we can meet up each other, one of these days.

as afar as i know… there is a couple of spot u may have to becarefull of the TUNGGUL… the guys over there told me that … one of the TUNGGUL r at the spot their feeding the fish…u can see it if u stand beside the water edge… another one is slightly in middle end of the pond at the waterdrain out…that Tunggul u cant see it… if u need to know futher n clarification… ask the guys to show u… al rite…?

just back from the pond. quite a nice place. from the splashes the pacus seem to be in abundance. however i only managed to get 3 selat(or belida.. i have no idea :p) and 1 keli. i used cengkerik for all of them. tried seluang but no takers. saw a couple of guys fly fishing and they seem to catch pacus regularly. anyone can share some tips on the type of setup used for bottom fishing there?

hi .. may be next time i’ll try to use maggot … let see what type of fish i can get. Last saturday i went there and say one guy landed big patin. hhmmmm … i’ve heard the pong is going to closed for 1 week starting next week due to fishing tournament. maybe someone can update here the info.
