Recieved a mms from Tembaring who works owns a hotel in Semporna, contains these pics taken from the local wet market:
According to the seller (a local fisherman), these fish are caught in one of the island flats, which the other side is our usual popping playground!
size from 1.5 to 3kg+ !

Very interesting. I just spoken to a friend’s security personnel who is from Semporna. He is an islander and came from fisherman family. Just yesterday, I showed him bonefish picture and he said he knows where, when and how to get them. Now he is like my best friend in the world. [:D]

They call them bulus too, same like Belanak. That’s why i didnt buy when they told me about it, i thought they must have confused between the two. The only sign i’ve seen was a dried salted bonefish sold in the market in semporna.
