As far as i know,the most effective bait for PB there is live goldfish hooked on spiderman rig.
CWS open from 7.30 morning to 9 night.

Itu bukan storm lure,gua pakai RM.5 punya bakau lure.Gua ada kat ipoh sampai bulan depan,kalau mau turun tolong call.

Brother,on public holidays and weekends the place have many ppl come to fish and play golf.Just abit crowded.No problem,you can call me when u wanna fish there…

you guys should try to rent the canoe they have and try to fish the lake next to the main club house which also house the boat-house at side of the lake. The PB and pacu there are huge.

if you intent to go boating, bring your own life-vest, they do not provide and that is an essential item. That lake is deep and interconnect to other smaller lakes.

CWS ia actually a relatively comfortable place to fish. The chalets are well maintained and is comfortable. There are restaurants offers reasonably good food. It is a place you can bring the entire family for a short holiday when the wife and kids can enjoy the facilities while you can go fishing to your heart content. Most chalets also have a lake view and you could even fish from the balcony. Negative side is the relatively expensive charges.

4lbs line peacock bass on 1st May with bro Wai1460 as special guest</font id=“size2”>

I arrived at CWS around 9 in the morning and proceeded to my spot in the platform.I caught a PB earlier but lost it to the lotus pads.There were two gentlemen fishing beside me using relatively heavy tackle and 30lbs line to target patin.They were there since 6 in the morning.Bro wai1460 arrived soon by 10.I landed a PB as soon as he came( banyak ong woo…[:D]) but it too was lost to the lotus pads.
Bro wai1460 just arriving at CWS.

We proceeded to the fishing club lake where there was a chinese family fishing there and landing patung fish non-stop.The gentleman there asked me to cast at a certain sopt where they were hooking patung after patung but i stick to my rule of catching PB with 4lbs line.I hit fish again,but the same thing happen.After some undesireable and unwanted incidents we proceeded back to the wetlands.

There,bro wai1460 was targeting patin by using hong.I proceeded to the PB spawning ground(gua punya secret spot) at the end of the lake.My first cast was a dull coloured PB,female on float rig and baby carp as bait.The fish fought good on 4lbs line.I returned to the car as i forgot my keepnet and rushed back.

My second cast was the grand finale.I hooked something that fought hard and had a 5 minute fight with it. It was a Grander peacock bass.

Grander PB

A grander PB is a male PB during the mating season.They sure fight hard.Observe the red colour between the gills.It was almost going to rain,so i had to carry all my things back to my grandpas car.I had forgot i kept the previous PB at the icebox so i only took photos with the grander.sorry for the inconvience.


The predator and Prey


Dropping the fish into the pail to be sent to the icebox by mouth.

The grander tasted great cooked “goreng kicap”.Eat it to every bit of flesh that night for dinner.I had a wonderful trip and also learned what one of my sifu told me which i only realised after the trip that it was really true
