How do i get to malin nawar? where exactly is the pond that bigbait is talking about? if im not mistaken there are quite a lot of ponds there and mostly tilapias?

The pond is actually nearer to Kota Baru.. you can come from Malim Nawar but thru a village road. I tried coming from Malim Nawar but could’t find the way to the pond.. yes there are other ponds (duck ponds) around Malim Nawar but I haven’t tried fishing those ponds before. BTW, are you regularly fishing around Ipoh? Share your spots also laa… If you plan to go don’t forget to call me la..
big bait… i went 3 or 4 times oni ler… follow my dads fren… the roads he took was quite complicated la… i tried very hard to memorize the road there.. but tak jadi la… i come from sitiawan.. and i saw he made a turn at a tanjung tualang signboard if not mistaken… then after that… dunno masuk what kampung road d la… then suddenly out of no where got nice big highway… i oso blurr d… but i know the pond is not fenced… and that uncles target is tilapia on super light tackle oni… we bought cacing further up at a shop b4 the turning i at tanjung tualang sign…first few trips were good… lotsa tilapia… and another golden colour fish with black stripes.. small in size but fight better than a big tilapia… so we call it commando… dunno wat is it actually called la… but after a few times…can see got ppl netting at the pond… so finish la… no more fishing there liao~

is your dad a doc and is now in east malaysia, if so then send my regards to him. we use to called that striped chilid, commando cause it were always be the first to get hooked. we have been fishing to gether for some time before be left

nope, i can’t remember, maybe one of these days we could meet up again and share a cup of hot coffee while fishing, will be there most of the sundays, but not this sunday. have met quite a numbers of fishing kakis around that area but have some friendly talk and thats all,

forgot to mention… i followed dr kiew there one .. im a dark skinned chinese teenager… i wont be back in perak till end of this month… studying in kl at the moment…but i would love to meet u up one day to go fishing… and maybe u can direct me to the pond… coz i really forgot how to get there and there seems to be so many ponds around… but i do know how to go to the bait shop… maybe i’ll meet up with u there and if u dun mind, u shall be my tour guide! kakaka… i’ll drop u an email when im back in sitiawan…
