Please have another subsequent enlightening report from the RuffnTuff group who visited the pond later. There were netters having pails of fish from the same pond and complain that the fish there were much lesser now. Netters and their catch don’t appear in this forum for sure. Hehe what to do about it???
Will be visiting the place again to assess the extent of the netting. Understand that netting was set up on the entire pond at 3 of the most productive spots. You can bet fish of ALL shapes & sizes will be hauled up.

Went surveying around S2, Seremban on a Sat night. Head to S2 Pasar Malam & then from there at end of junction, turned right, traveled another 15mins & ended up at Kg. Gadong Jaya, Labu. Found a crowded paypond. Spent about 1 hour hanging around & chit-chatting with fellow anglers & the pond operator.
Fees: RM 23 / 3 hours.
Fishes: Patin, Pacu, Tilapia, Rohu, Jelawat & Tongsan.
Time: Opens from 10am to 2am.
Just 1 hour hanging around the counter area, saw anglers hauling in 3 to 5kg Tongsan & Patins. There is a digital weighing scale there & fishes caught can be sold back to the operator at RM 1 / kg. Bait used are bread & dedak. Rigs are all bottom, with the bomb rig being most popular. The place is clean & well managed. NO MOSQUITO! Not even 1 bite. I’m very surprised as anywhere I’ve been to during night or day, mosquito is bound to come biting.

alang salleh not bad..u have to fish at the pond lacated at the back..Been there for competition once..alot of usual proz.Fish are quite of decent size..Therez even a few albino patin which range frm 5kg to 10kg..pacus also quite big there..

Looking for anglers to join up to venture further/deeper into Rantau (Ayamas Factory) waters.
Understand that the management of the land has barricaded the dirt road with iron bars. 4WD & cars can’t go in, only walking or motor/cycling can. Walking to the inner ponds will take about 15mins (1km) so tackles & accessories should keep to bare essentials. I tried walking to the nearest connecting river bends, waters slightly murky, did about 30mins of spinner casting, had 2 strikes, 1 foul hook lost the fish (cheroot) & another failed to hook. Understand that the inner waters (Sg Linggi) may have crocodiles so it is risky to fish alone.
Anyone keen to join up on Sunday mornings? I usually fish there from 8am to 12pm.

Update on Rantau (Ayamas Factory).
The barricades has re-opened so cars can go in now. Last visit on Sun, 20th Nov. Found a nice hideout about 15mins driving time in. Perfect place for boaters to launch their crafts. Wide open spaces with minimal grass, mostly sandy banks. Suitable even for FlyFishios.

Last visit to Kg Kuala Sawah was in Oct 2011. The ex-mining ponds on the right side of bridge is no longer accessible as the dirt road had been barred.

The swampy area further into the kampung had also been reclaimed into land for development.

The only place left to do fishing there is the Linggi river itself OR the Alang Salleh Paypond (New management). Maybe a good idea to fish there as the new owner had re-stocked the fishes. The usual, Patin, Tilapia, Grass Carp, Jelawat & Pacu.
