Hi Bintoro
The Nymph was tied by Dron and its very effective, i just cast it up behind a Rock and as it drifted parralel to me i saw a splash and the line staightened out,the Fight was on.First i had to pull the fish out from its rocky lair, than she turned and headed downstream.A very strong fighter if compared to the leenoks in Mongolia, did not give up easilly. You should come over and join us on our future trip.

After years of farming… in 2004, 1st group of Fly fishermen was invited to fish at the river… fees were charged and these income further improve the living standard of the villages…</font id=“red”> you will need to seek the approval from the head of the village to fish there, with only one condition… only Catch and Release
Pelian… the Golden Masheer, claim by the local can grow up to 30-40kgs… due to over fish and pollution… Today, a 5kgs are consider rare… if we can revive the river and really take care of it…one day, the Pelians will come back… fisherman will fly in from whole world to ‘pay’ to fish them…
Bro dron.fly, could you please advise us what would be the usual fee charged to fish in one of these ‘tagal’ rivers since you have been to one? Thanks!
The fees to fish in Babagon are RM75.00 perday/perhead… These include the management fees, guide and fishing fees..
All Fishes are Catch & Release, except the Tarpon, Talapia and Carp… These alien fish will harm the baby pelian…
If you guys interested of going there fishing… A group of 4-6 persons will be ideal… The transportation to Babagon by charted van cost RM150 perday… If you need the contact, I will SMS to you..
Thanks for the info, sifu. Not ready to go yet[:D]. Still practising[:D].
Hmmmm, I cannot understand why the Kelah Sanctuary in Sg. Tahan over here cannot give this kind of prices such as those in Babagon to make it affordable to everyone. Now it is only for the rich and famous it seems[:(]

Let’s do a comparison..
Kelah Sanctuary are charging RM 1500 per head for 4 days 3 nights…with guides, boats, foods and accommodation.. cost does not include the individual cost to Kuala Tahan.
For Babagon…for 3 days fishing, each of spent RM419 for flight ticket, RM 190 for hotel rooms, Fishing fees RM 225, Food about RM 135, Transportation for RM 60… total cost about RM 1,029.00
If you compare… the different is about RM 500.00
thanks for adding photos bro
Fishing & Dogs
Bro, I think the comparison is even greater since Babagon is in East Malaysia and entails fying there. Sg Tahan is nearby and reacheable in a few hours of driving. Yet, Sg Tahan is more expensive. Net, I would say fishing in Sg Tahan is priced unreasonably high for the locals to fish there. The difference between Babagon and Sg Tahan is way beyond RM 500.00 is you ask me.
