I have finally found a new casting club in my area. I found i really enjoyed my time casting with you guys, and now there is a local club in my area holderness-coast-fishing so i am now getting back into casting. I am stll doing a lot of fishing at the moment but the season will end soon so i will be able to put a lot more into my casting. And hopefully improve my distances so when i come back to see you guys i will be able to hold my head up high lol.
To a great bunch of lads. Jim (the one with the naked woman on his arm lol)

Hi Edi
At the moment I am just struggling with my casting so not had a chance to think about the weather. The real difference for me is the heat only made tolerable by the humidety over there. We seem to have from my experience more problems with the wind not being consistent and having to move the court to adjust to the wind direction. Only been casting about 10 times scince i was casting with you guys so in a couple of months i may be able to tell you more about the affects of the coditions on the casting. And i have not cast the 150 yet sticking with the 175g 200g so comparisons are difficult with when i was over there, i am still getting around the same distance though but with the bigger leads. One of the competitions i was in it was cold and wet about 15 degrees you guys need to try casting in a refrigerator lol. But i think in purfect coditions we have it much better then you guys. Talking to the guys high pressure and humidity do make a big difference but how much i dont know.
Hi JIM,
It’s been ages man, good to hear from you. Do you know that we’ve gone to a different casting court now? The old court is just too short for Edi. Oops gotta eat dinner now, will continue later.
p/s in case you’re wondering “who the fish” I am? I’m the other guy with the bushy moustache.
Hi Encik
Yeah i remember the moustache lol. How you doing hope your still smashing them down the court. Not surprised that court was too short for edi he was going over the back when i was there. When I come over I will be smashing them down the back of the new one lol, I wish.
Really good to hear you casting again, hope you can still remember me… you came to my hse with and laugh at me coz I have boxes of nail clippers for fishing!!!
We are much the same I guess, casting the same distance still… he he.
ok will wait for the result, hmmm 200gm ! we’ll wait you, mebbe this December !

Hi Aznaff
Of course i remember you with your room full of rod,s reel,s and nail klippers lol.It was a really good night with you and the boys just when I really needed it hope to do it again sometime.
hi edi
I,m on the 200g just to get a feel for the rod again then i will go to the 150g. When I get 220 yards with the 200g I will start using the GIRLY LEADS LOL. Hows your casting going are you still in a class of your own, I am relearning a lot from the guys I have the pleasure to go casting with now. I went to one of the NWSA meets and it was areally good day some of the casters there are just amazing to see, have you looked at the casting section on the holderness coast fishing forum. I hope to be back somwhere near my best before the end of the season. I would have loved to come over this year but its looking like it may be next year now. Will try hard to get over next year it would be nice to catch up with you guys again and chuck a few leads.
How casting, so bad, mebbe someone have to knock me out so i’ll wake up again lol.Hmmm, it just poor we here cause we doesnt have anything or something to make us increase the distance, there are diffrences but where is it, we have 2 country in this arena Malaysia and Singapore and lot of casters struggling but seem to found someone or to found something to make us casting more than 210m is very difficult.Whatever im still thank to you and Tom@ZzipHST/ZTI for showing me some of the secret and the right casting (from experiences not theory) method.
The nail clippers is still in the box, waiting for him to donate it as a prize.

Yeah Edi there is no real substitute for experience. I think i know exactly what i need to change to get back to where i was. Is your cast the same as the one at the bottom of your post or have you changed anything. Have you got any video of your cast now it would be interesting to see and i may be able to see somthing to help, if you think i am able.
From experience or advance knowledge you’ll get the distance and im very sure about this.Since your last visit i’ve change my style, hmmm thinking the simpliest way of pendulum, so i choose DEAD SWING to be my experiment, well it did get me to be better with less power but more distance till one moment i repeatly hit 215m++ without playing the mag and the best i get is 226m with mag off. Well that was last year, but this year mystery illness attack me on Feb which does effect my casting and life and now struggling to get 200m without playing mag.Yeap, you can view my casting at Saujana Putra topic and i’ll put some others vid for you to comment later.

Looked at your videos on youtube it is really hard to pick anything out. But from what i can see from your cast you look like your body is not turned or as low as it could be you should feel your body wanting to uncoil like a spring, your swing looks good. Try and get your left arm strighter try and fix the angle of your arms to your body so you are using your body rotation to help compress the rod. Start the cast very slightly slower by feeling your body wanting to uncoil then do what your doing. The slight loss of ballance at the end is loss of power that should be going through the rod try to transfer your weight onto your front foot.
I am no expert on this cast or any other but I hope this helps.

Looks ok to me Edi but as I said above looks like you are mainly using your arms and shoulders. And if you turned and crouched a bit more, when you setup the cast you could bring your body and legs more into play this will help push up and through the rod. The other main thing is getting your left arm straighter and holding it out a fraction longer before you hit the rod. This will help you use body rotation to help compress the rod a bit more before you hit it.

All being well I will be going to the NESA comp on sunday, hope to put into practice what I have been saying lol. Why when it sounds so simple is it really really!!! difficult to put it into practice lol. I have been thinking about trying a bit of a deadswing myself, I might give it a try on sunday. There will be some top casters at NESA on sunday and a few different casting styles, so it should be a great day.
I will let you guys know how i get on.
Edi let me know how things are going mate.
Yeap, sure will let you know.Hmmm same as me to, been thinking to done it but not easy as said, whatever practise is the key.send me you email or it was your same address as last mail to me.

Was at NESA today conditions were really not good for casting bad side wind then head wind, rain and then sunny but that was when the head wind started so a bit of a let down really. But as an experience it was good seeing some of the top casters they were awesome, i Had a pb of just over 205 yards with the 200g second cast. Then my reels started to blow up with the extra power i was creating by keeping my left arm stright out from my body so struggled for the rest of the day with the variable wind and my reels blowing up but all in all a really good day.
Hi Guys
Had a day with my local casting club ECCC, PB,s dropped like dominoes i had 200g=212yards 175g=216yards 150g=235yards 125=218yards conditions were good. Still feel there is much more to come if i get the chance to practice a bit more. But not a patch on the champ of the day 276yards on the 125g done by our clubs best caster Jody Lemm fantastic cast.
