You forgot cane rod can also be used to fish out drowning people. And cane rod also can be used to discipline children. And cane rod makes you look classic and sentimental, a surefire way to get laid.
So when are you going to make a salmon cane? If you look hard enough on ebay, you’ll find treated bamboo for sale and sometimes special tools too.

I was talking about treated tonkin lah… Properly dried, splitted and straighten. Your Subang Jaya Council (or is it UEP?) tonkin bamboo will take another one decade before it is properly treated. By that time you’ll be 100 years old, too old to use heavy cane rod oredi.

Sorry guys been away for a while. Going for the IGFA Blackbass record trip next weekend, tied some pink things and decievers on 4/0 hooks for the trip hehee. Worked on some light colour patterns based on the proven lures, going to tie a few in dark colours too just in case the water is mulky.
Thinking of trying other fly patterns too. Any other suggestion, MASTER NOVICE ?
