I noticed the bite rates aren’t that good in the last few weeks. The water level has dropped and the fish does not seem hungry. Wonder why. Previously, I can land 6 to 8 fishes quite easily - bawal and senangin. Was there last weekend and landed only 1 bawal. Hardly any bite! Something is wrong. Any comment?

Tq for posting my BAWALLL…huhhuhh
This is my 2cents.
RM 45 for 3 hours & minimal 3 hours. I’d rather stick to other paypond. At least no ‘minimal’. Paypond, if 1st hour no bite, then can leave, no need stay until 3 or 6 hours. It is not wild or natural sea fishing where the tides & water level keeps changing on a daily basis.
Paypond is more about whether the water is well maintained, fishes well stocked & how hungry the fishes are. If all 3 conditions are right (which is very much within pond management control), going there 1/2 hour also will produce results. Provided, angler is rigging the right bait & presentation.
No offense, just my personal opinion.

I cannot generalize, but the payponds in Desa Aman, Kota Kemuning and GP that I visit regularly seem to have certain times ( on the same day ) when the fish suddenly come on the bite.
Like most people, I looked at the obvious - when was it that they last released new fish. The funny thing is that this is not necessarily so. Then I looked at the amount of sunlight, time of day / night, fishing pressure, etc. but have still not really understood why fish start biting, and then stop, and then start again, all on the same day !
The point I am trying to make is that a 1 hour session is not likely going to be representative - at least in the case of those that I have gone to. I normally do the 3 hours, and if I am lucky, I get to be present when the hits for the whole pond come for about 30 - 45 minutes in the 3 hours.
Pond I, Kg. delek.

Romico2 - Thanks for the timely update - was just planning to go after an absence of slightly more than 6 months !
Just a question - you mention " Pond 1 " - do they now have more than one pond ?
I presume the weekly hours still start at 12 noon ?
I notice the mixed bag - Jenahaks, Bawal and Taiwan Senangin - are these typical results nowadays ? At my last visit I managed to get Kerapu ( from under the pipe ), MJ’s, and Bawal.[:p]
Thank You. [:)]

Well, these are the pics that drives us back to the pay ponds every time, trying to beat the odds. It is sometime we win but most times we lose. How else would the payponds survive.
