can ‘copy’ from existing lure or make yr own design, either way is alright
i’m sure u hv a lot of fantastic idea popping in yr mind now hehehehe
give it a go
there no hard n fast rule on how to start or make one
its suppose to be fun, bro [:D]
i started w detail measurement of existing lure n try to make a duplicate, that way, its easier for me to learn the shaping process and compare the profile
then call sifu LP toask where should i place the weight hehehehe

I started out duplicating lures from existing desigan but along the line, started changing the dimensions and adding details. MOst of the stuff like weight placement and shape and size of lips was purely trial and error.
Of course, there was always Tai Si Heng for enquiries and provision of necessary poison and materials; just like what I am doing now! hehehehe!

I just bought a rotory grinder (those shown in the class). Just need to find out whether it become hot after using especially at the motor area. Please advise.

wah! bought yr rotary tool oledi

should not be expectional ‘hot’
dont apply ‘heavy’ pressure on the tool, try vary the speeed for the work or material u r doing

does it come w a flexible cord??

Yes it come with flex cord too =RM298

Should I add some lubricant into the flex cord.

a few drop wouldn’t hurt
but make sure dont bend the flexi cord over the recommended 150mm radiu
ideally, the rotary tool shld be hang up above yr working table so the flexi cord drop down straight

always wear safety glasses when working w roraty tool

Need your help. Where to get Devcon clear 2 ton epoxy. Search the whole of PJ hardware shop only to find black, off white epoxy. Clear only for the 5 min epoxy.

Lone - try either FatRap or RainbowRunner’s favourite place nowadays (at home making lures). They are not known as sailang kings for nothing.

Found Devcon 2-minutes (and 10-minutes hardening) epoxy last Sunday in XXXX. But these are not what you needed nor recommended by the Sailang Kings. XXXX cos once the place is stated, those will be gone also.

Guys - found a site where I can download the patterns, print on paper and then get the wife to cut the paper patterns. Thereafter paste the cutout to the woodblock. Fanstastic patterns too with wite placement shown.

Next step - shaping the lure according to the paper patterns… practice practice practice.

you have to ask the boss to inform you when the new stocks come in… and make sure you go to pick them up before the sailang kings do, hehehe.
I still can get a stable supply of 2tons clear devcon here in Pg. price around 7.50 (some shop selling at 9.50 [xx(]), let me know if you want me to help you get it [:)]

for whatever reason, there seems to be a problem to get devcon 30min clear in KL/PJ area, trust me, I’ve been to more hardware shop than u can imagine[xx(]

my suggestion wld be to order a box or two from Yeapwl to be share among us
