The fight was good as the current was strong at that time. It started to peel off my line for quite a distance and initially I got problem of getting it up from the bottom as it used it wide body size to hold on with the help of the strong current. Only after awhile that it lost grip and I manage to gain back line. Even when it was about to surface, it make one last deep dive downward but I had prepare for it as I press on my spool to slow down it movement.
The bait I use is a night herring or tamban malan.

This is called puput in Bahasa Melayu! This is a good bait fish, as it flashes like the tamban.

do u use the night tamban whole?
I know that this is a killer bait for many anglers in kuantan who are hunting pari. the easiest way to get 'em is from the shore netters in the kampongs.

Yes…I sleep in my van when I wanted to fish the next morning. Normally at night I will fish until about 2am then rest on the back of my van which can sleep a person and my bike. Safe, quiet so can sleep well for a few hour. Even if it rain also ok as I just close the door.[:D]
