simple way would be the actual color, kelah is more red/goldenish and tengas is more silverish/greenish/bluish ..

look at the mouth, one with lobe(kelah), tengas without. Kelah mouth face downward whereas tengas forward. tat’s the best it seems to identify them, i always mix them up especially above palm size to half kg specimen
