===AtiQuL 313===

The Abu Ambassadeur 4500cs pro Rocket which happened to be my favorite reel was put on a grueling test for two days [13 & 14 October]. It was loaded with 200m of 20 lb Stealth Spider Wire Braided line. The reel was mounted on my THOMAS STROKER light medium bait caster rod specially handcrafted with spiral wrapped fuji guides for this particular trip. The sails at Rompin were abundant and obliging putting up extreme pressure on the rod, reel, line and the FG knot. The most amazing thing on the Ambassadeur 4500cs Pro Rocket was the rachet and the synchronized level wind and silky smooth drag. The sound of the rachet was like music each time the sail took off on free spool before locking the reel and setting with circle hook. Stripping of line did not cause any frightening scrapping sound like those non synchronized low profile reels. Let some pictures to tell the rest of the stories.

Hi U Thomas,

The spiral wrapped rod - is it a 7 footer?

Cheers!

Yes, the one in the picture is the 7 footer, you can try yours with a 4000 series spinning reel. That TS rod has got good lifting power 3/4 down even though super slim. You can try it with 10 to 15 lb good braided line of 300m.

I can build a superb casting rod for you, but unfortunately all my rods are one pc type. I don’t make two pc type unless it is a popping or game rod. I can do a one pc type 6ft in length with fuji spiral guides, fuji ACS trigger reel seat. Let me know if it is ok with the one pc type. Call me at 0197251340.

Hi Uncle Thomas,

Would like to know a few specification for your new line of rods. What kind of composite materials are your rods made from? What are the rods actions for all lengths and line class?? i.e. fast taper, medium fast, slow…

I’m a soft plastic fanatic, and now am looking for a rod that is able to fish plastics effectively in about 20-30 ft of water (sea). This is means a sensitive tip that can transmit my twitches down to the plastic and let me feel the every bumps and bites, and will load up nicely with when a fish hits, with enough backbone power to hustle fishes off the reefs. Which of course means I need a robust, light and balanced rod. (who doesn’t? )

If the rods are up to the above, can you quote for me the following:

Rod length: 7 ft, 10-20 lb rod, able to cast at least 1/4oz to 1.5 oz lure weight, fast - medium fast taper.
Guides: Fuji SIC, LVSG + MNST Gun smoke black, single footed (7+1 nos.) Can you quote me for Fuji Alconite Guides as well…?
Grips: Fuji VSS reel seat. Split rear grips with counter balance and winding checks. EVA grips. Can you recommend a butt cap? No gimbal butt please.
Rear Grip length: At least 11 inches.
Hookeper: YES

No extra decals. Just plain and simple wraps. But more to Japan styling then American styling.
Will pair it with a 3500 Caldia Kix, on 20lb braid or gelspun lines.

My email is samchieng79@gmail.com

Oh and i’m from Kuching, Sarawak so I guess that would include courier charges. Thank you sir.

Hi Sam,

Wow ! such a long posting regarding your rod requirement. As a matter of fact, the material of the blank is made of graphite composite with my own formula for the OEM factory which has been doing R$D WITH MY FORMULA FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS, BEFORE the blank finally passed my field test. If I could land a 40kg sailfish with it, you can safely use it for your soft plastic and other luring.

The rod has all the qualities you require, super slim and strong with very sensitive tip of 1.2mm dia. fast action with good backbone 3/4 down [lifting power is excellent] that’s why I could land sailfish with my rod. Fittings can follow your specification.
The price is RM800.00 WITH WARRANTY PLUS PVC CASING & COURIER SERVICE TO YOUR ADDRESS. Let me know if it is acceptable to you before I send you email with my account number. You can call me at: 0197251340

Dear Uncle,

While I have no doubt in the quality of your rods, since I know of many who has used it and sworn by its quality, may I know how’s it different from the range of US made Loomis blanks or maybe even Shikaris?

Just as a comparison study…Hope you don’t mind. [:p]
