There is a Last minute pull out from our group…However this is one of the best trip ever organize by us…weather is good sea is very forgiving to us as well as the catch…

We have 2 wonderful deckhand/chef who happened to be my staffs who take good care of our meals as well as helping us to store our catches, running up and down in between so that these 4 fisherman job is just to fish…

To whom that has not try fishing this type of fish…
2-3kg telinga gajah will give u a good fight cause when u got a hook up this fish will say dive…dive…dive…find anything to cut themselves loose (barnacle)…According to Captain Samad aka Talang King which I happened to met him there…The strength of ‘Telinga Gajah’ is much stronger then talang. Talang will go left or right…chances are it will not cut/snap yr line so easy

Bait:- u would not believe it…chicken feed+flour(Dedak) OMG at sea fishing??? Believe it

BTW…this fish taste fantastic…sweet…juicy and very tender(top part of the head)…Yum Yum
We ended this trip with a makan fiesta…theme is ‘Telinga Gajah’ aka Gau Se Chong

Tq Uray…I’ll try your technic in my next oilrig trip…sometime we found a lot of this “telinga gajah” at the platform area but we can’t cheat them using normail bait…hehehe…if bait come easily maybe we can try put some more flour into it ??? hehehe

U r rite…but I’m using multiplier…I still got hard time …have to set the setting so that it’s not too hard or to light…too hard we loose the fish (broke the mouth) & too light you can say bye2 as they like the barnacle …
