My advise to you, drop by tackle box!! it would be more appropiate if you learn how to correct your casting skill from any sifu from tackle box rather you learn from veesilee. There’s nothing wrong with your 7/8wt rod, once you get your casting correct, then the poison of flyfishing will flow along with your blood in you,it’s unstoppable!!![:p][}:)][;)]

Weight 7/8 still can use to learn but if you ask around i think many people will say 5 weight is the most suitable for beginner. I’m still new at fly fishing but been hanging around with Dr.No lately learning about fly fishing. Just bought a fly set last month, still in learning stage…
