Revo MGX

If u want cork knobs just for the comfort, they now make them only in clear, black, red or blue… But only compressed cork knobs. All the newer RCS knobs are made of compressed cork with clear or coloured PU coating. 5g each knob.

It’s ok bro… i’m fine with it… anyhow wat we’re essentially feeling is the PU coating outside, the inner materials only act as cosmetic hehe

it’ll look good on my MGX too… lol[xx(]

I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!

Hmmm..i guess i’m still toying with this..havent landed any yet. Took our for ruff tuff lone ranging exploration. just lurve the smothness and distance for light lures 5-7g’s.

Now need to put it 2 the extreme test..(landing an actual fish with it :P).

**Even a fish could stay out of trouble if it would just learn to keep its mouth shut.

it seems the mgx has inherited the other revo’s common problem - exterior paint chip/fading. Just saw one last night, near the surface of that locking screw to open the non-handle sideplate, appears the paint is fading.

good reel performance for that money, only wish Abu would up the quaity of the finishing from other revo line of products, but then that would have to be priced a little higher.

An update on my MGX. Went to Air Kuning a few days back. Casting whole day on the mgx and my 4-10lb rod cannot be more kind to my wrist… Light and versatile.

Before fishing, I removed 2 brake blocks from the original 4, and was able to cast 3.5-6g lures effectively on 10lb fireline(which I hated). Had it been regular braids, it would have been better. I was getting about 20-25m on the cast consistently with the brakes at 1/4 from ‘min’ setting. A little thumbing will not hurt though. Comfortably casted my Arms Micro Popper of 4g and smallest Husky Jerks…

With a suitable rod and line, and after remOving 2 brake arms, it’s very pleasant to cast indeed, as expected. Managed to match my friend’s scorp DC in distance.

Drag is smooth and strong, but did not hook onto anything worthy to test the drag.

I wonder if there’s a shallow spool coming our way soon [:D]
