thre is a bit differance 4 this 2 models
for me coz im using both of this reels
cqdc
come with dc+
very easy to use take out from the box n u can use it on the spot
no need to adjust or tune if u new 2 it
just use it
mgdc
come with i-dc4
4 c mode i-w for windy-you cast distance will be short but no meehon or birdnest
i-a-for for all mode purpose i-m-for medium distance cast god for 7-8gm lure
lastly is i-l mode-for long distance casting
this reel need 2 be tune every time u wanna change the lure n also the mode
need to be warm up b4 using the real lure coz if u use it b4 warmup
there will be birdnest lightweight reel
im usually use a dummy lure to warmup b4 cast the real lure
this is my opinion only
other can give their opinion also
tan js both of this reel is worth 2 buy
i cannot tell which is the best coz
im just buy it n still lookin the best way to use both of it

Ic thank u very much for the info bro
i’m actually getting the older model of the ctq dc instead of the dc+ due to the paint job on the latter… hopefully there arent much difference between the two of them
Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you
i think there is not much differences
between the ld n new model 4 this cq dc
On my opinion for DC lovers.. there are pro’s and con’s
Non-DC
Pro’s - can cast further
Con’s - uneducated thumbing will result in birdnest
DC
Pro’s - superb handling, basically fool proof.
Con’s - cast far but not satisfactory, not designed for finesse lures, pitching distance have to change setting.
the new DC is superbly lower profile. but i like the old dc setting much more. Btw all reels tested are on ZPI ceramic bearings.
kill the friggin’ netters
thanks bro.
i’ve always thought dc system are responsible for the long cast… sigh
Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you
i find during top oscillation, the damn dc kicks-in to refrain the spool resulting less distance. very irritating. even the ZPI bearing cant do much to boost the distance. btw my Ryoga does 10-15 ft more than the 200DC
Stick to the non-dc’s if u want long distance and enjoy refining your casts with your thumb. also i find that every reel is different, so you have to pick one that you are really comfortable with. less effort, longer cast, powerhouse and refined to cast all types of lures.
kill the friggin’ netters
ive try this ryoga 1016HS that belong 2 the one chinese man
during my evening casting
i fuond that ryoga cannot defeat the distance from cqdc
why im saying that bcoz
im using the same rod length that ia abu fantasista 6’3 8-16lb
using braided for dc is 20lb of toray braided n ryoga is using 20lb of power pro braided
n also we test it on the same lure that is rapala kitter walk 9cm,megabass giant dgg x n also heddon super spook
we found out that ryoga distan is shorter from the cqdc almost 20 feet more
the chine man cannot believe it so he change the rod to 9 feet loomis n franklin rod
bcoz he wanna see if the distance can be beat but sadly ryoga failed to beat cqdc in term of distance
but fr cranking ryoga is still the best coz its so smooth compare to the dc
Ryoga is built for " bay jigging " first and " casting " second while Conquest DC is built primarily for casting , therefore when casting distance is the aim , choose Conquest DC .
My Conquest DCs have been retrofitted with hybrid ceramic spool bearings , I believe there are very few baitcasting reels ever made can outcast the Conquest DC , the next one to be retrofitted is my Antares DC7 LV which I rarely use for casting long distance , it’s used more for pitching . I choose this over MG DC due to it’s suitability for use in the brackish n saltwater albeit the smaller and lighter body of MG DC is more desirable .

ok i’m definitely buying one…

maybe my casting technique might be different, but i fish conquest’s with 1 brake, and i get extra distance compared to DC’s. Btw, floro setting casts better than braided. PowerPro and Toray so much different, like AMG and JRD. Toray diameter can be 20-40% thinner.
I’m more of a Mag user coz the simplicity of just changing the dials when headwind, lure weights and rod type. Using the Ryoga eliminates my Conquest, i feel it has a overall package (distance, big gearbox n crazy drag) that i’ve been looking for so i dont have to bring 4-5 sets a trip. Ryoga is one crazy Saltiga hiding in compact body.
thats for my impoundment/estuary/saltwater reel. not meant for anything light. when i m talking ultralight, it has to be my Presso leftie on 8lbs braid. cast tiny lures very well and bound to get bullied by big fish but thats what i m looking for, trouble head-on!
the new Daiwa Z2020 is the current rave. Daiwa’s answer to the DC’s.

wusharox bro,
i cast my conquest too with only one brake… and tat’s about it dont seems to cast far at all… spinning beat tat readily
actually to this day i still dont get the idea of y baitcaster can cast further than spinning when throughout my years of fishing i never seen anyone done tat, not even for once… and not even close
Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you
Wow… talk about DC…the best reel in the world…!!!
still collect a money to buy 1…hopefully soon I will have it…!!!
is there have any better reel from DC??? just asking..it’s about distance while you cast or do pitching and flipping…any suggestion…please…!!!
ha..ha..ha…

no need la Paichen 4 u 2 buy this dc reel
Shimano not good bro Abu is better
kuikuikuikui
TJS, surprised you couldnt get distance with your CQ even with 1 brake. both my spin and baitcaster distance are equal. even in the light lure(6g) category. my forte is landbased casting at AK. i find it more thrilling to fish that way.
u dwelling too much in the paypond already. better get into some dams/lakes to brush up bro. u will soon rediscover the power of the conquest." pada suatu masa akan datang, i akan memimpin kamu memancing pikok bass. tunggu i senang dulu. "
i way too busy nowadays. Royal Belum, Pekan n Kenyir Camp trip coming up. cant afford to miss the sebarau season =)
paichen: got better reel than DC, get the STELLA. sure can cast further
kill the friggin’ netters
oh…Stella is better…is it baitcaster reel or something else…
shh…mr sinister please don’t talk like that…
I’m beginner here…try to learn something new…hik..hik..hik…

pitching and flipping usually accuracy more important… for casting distance will be taken into consideration
anyway thanks wusharox bro… i’ll definitely join u one day… gimmme a sms 0129239018 whenever there’s any trip i’m keen always, just no company… another thing is i can’t always go so far because money is a huge issue, having a guide or boat service will even be worst to my wallet! I’ve to AK and hire boat service, horrendous experience luckily i din hire a guide which also end up the same and i can’t say i dont had enough of fishing in Perak especially the mining lakes, i;ve been too many time and waste too much money on that place…
too much hype and too much pressure tat place, unless there’s a secret spot with reasonable action around you bet i won’t be getting anywhere near there!
Well dont get me wrong bro, not i do not like to venture elsewhere but financial and worthiness have to be taken into consideration as well, v true anglers dont buy stuff like cq for show right??? must put them to different use and extreme only v could achieve better fishing skills ma
