i’m sure it’s still very much relevent today bro… it’s not very old… i actually still have sahara 750 the model before this i gotto say it’s nicer than the new more expensive ones, and no more 750 size
plus i have an Ultregra old model but made in Japan, quality is top notch… but i spoil it finally by using it for big fishes n high drag, the shaft was bent, now it sits together with other hall of fame reels of mine

Wow..thanx for the comments guys…Actually i have already bought stradic ci4 a few days ago…the thing is..the taukeh there keep on insisting me to buy the twinpower instead..she said it’s made in japan, sure no regret…she even let me brought back the stradic without filling in the warranty card first in case i change my mind on buying twinpower instead..imagine that! so i was in a dilemma now…but my main purpose on buying stradic is so that i can cast all day without being tired on my wrist…and of course at the same time i can use it for light bottom… Is the Rarenium really JDM?

And first of all, apologize to Bro Claypot for not asking permission to use his topic to ask question. Sorry man, my bad,.,..[:p]
claypot bro, u got the money… just go for it… it’s basically a flagship stella wit a lil less bling n small improvement only… wont regret at all u gonna use it forever… btw, for casting purpose i think u are using 1000-3000 size only, i think those arent heavy at all n casting whole day with a reel so smooth n fluid will not be a concern lol
Hooi, haiyaaa i start fishing using spinning out of so many years only 2 good shimano reel. Regret i havent been using em earlier… n regret buying any Daiwas… well at least got experience liau

rarenium is just another hype stuff like Daiwa zaion or something… basically just a reel body cover, just need to know if it’s strong enough, durable enough or saltwater resistant or not only… I dunno myself, n i seldom if ever rely on brand advertisment 1, where got brand talk bad bout oneself one right…

LOL .. believe ya .. my FX is the MIC version [:p]
sigh .. i wish they continued with the 750 series, bro
as for the carbon/zaion/synthetic reels … gimme an all metal reel is all i ask … personal opinion [:D]
cheap reel can mod bearings. usually for the worm gear can masuk 2, maybe roller bearing 1, main drive 1 or 2 . thats for my shimano ultegra wt 3/1 bearing. i’ve done for my sahara 750 and nasci too. smoothness and operability increase alot. downside is the more bearings, have to service more often.
daiwa tournament also i added 3/4 bearings. ofcourse if you can change the knob handle to a bearing supported one will added another 1-2 bearings.
**why more bearings?
pros
bush will wear out
gear, shaft jumping out of bushing. bearings eliminates that problem
smoothness
cons
reel becomes heavier
bearings high maintenence
rarenium is made in malaysia, along with the stradic c14. in my opinion, just get the new daiwa fream wt zaion body and mag sealed. looks canggih and zaion is way ahead of shimano c14 material. otherwise twinpower is always a good buy. another fav is the ryobi zauber. served me well. what u pay is what u get.
