Three women in KL turned up at hospitals over a 5-day period, all with the same symptoms - fever, chills, vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis and finally,death.
There were no outward signs of trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. These women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing in common.
It was discovered, however, that they had all visited a same restaurant along Jalan Kuchai Lama within days of their deaths. The health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it down. The food, water and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail.
The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check. She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom.
That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove up to the restaurant, went into the restroom and lifted the toilet seat. Under the seat, out of normal view, was a small spider. The spider was captured and brought back to the lab,where it was determined to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because of its reddened flesh color. This spider’s venom is extremely toxic but can take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark, damp climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.
Several days later, a lawyer from JB showed up at a hospital emergency room.. Before his death, he told the doctor that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes in Singapore , before returning home. He did not visit the restaurant while there. He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock.
Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in India .. The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from India , and discovered the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata) spider’s nests on four different planes!
It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country. So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders.
It can save your life! And please pass this on to everyone you care about.

This story was a hoax with its roots dating back to 1999. Same story except now the location has migrated from Florida to KL. also, the Two-Striped Telamonia is native to Singapore, India, Bhutan, and Indonesia, but there are no reports of its bite causing illness or death in humans and it is generally considered harmless by spider experts.
While the origin of many hoaxes is unclear, in this case the history of the hoax is well documented. This version of the hoax grew out of an earlier version (see example below) that featured an imaginary spider called Arachnius gluteus that supposedly came from South America and killed several women in Chicago. Spider expert Rick Vetter made contact with the person who actually created the original version of the hoax. In an article published on the University of California website, he notes:
"The creator of the hoax contacted me and we have since kept in touch. The hoax was purposely filled with incorrect information such that if the reader checked into any bit of the information, a red flag would arise because there would be no credibility to the citation of information (no medical journal with that name, there is no spider named Arachnius, there is no Blare Airport, etc.) He wrote the hoax to show that 1) people are gullible, 2) that the internet is a frighteningly fast way to spread misinformation, 3) that people forward on information without checking the veracity of the information. He never expected this to spread so quickly and so widely.
The person responsible for the hoax has certainly proved his point. More than a decade after its creation, versions of the hoax are still circulating. Bogus warnings such as this do nothing more than spread misinformation and cause unnecessary fear and alarm within communities. If you receive one of these hoax emails, be sure to let the sender know that the information in the message is untrue and do not forward it to others."

remember DO NOT stop the car at all.

to the nearest police station.
This kind of criminal tactics have
been
reported in about 40 cases in Seremban,
K. Lumpur, Shah Alam, P. Jaya
and Klang Town police stations
(actually around the whole country).
These guys are mainly Indian gangsters,
They work in a group and dare to
commit this crime even in crowded areas where nobody will dare to stop
the car to help you. The main purpose of this dirty tactic is to rob
you and/ or even commit rape if you are female driver driving alone.

Hi guys, thanks for sharing all the info.
Let me share my personal experiences.
Case 1. On my way home I bought a sponge cake (Rm25.0),put it on the back seat. Stop and park at a junction of a back lane (lorong) to go and buy some thing else. Came back 10 mins later, the rear window was smash, the car alarm was disable, the glove compartment was open. Nothing valuable was in there, except a pocket calculator.
Total loss: 1pc (rm25.0)sponge cake. 1pc (Rm12.0) pocket calculator.
1 day annual leave to go make police report and to repair and replace car window (Rm185.0).
Case 2. After dinner, my son was going out with his friends,so I told him to collect our old 21-in TV from the repair shop.
But the TV was (BER) ‘beyond economical repair.’ Meaning it would cost a few hundred ringgit to repair. The repair chit was tape onto top the TV. ‘ROSAK’ was written in chalk on the screen.
My son came home at 1 am and just park in front of our house.
At 5am the car alarm went off. We came out, in time to see 2 guys riding off with the old TV set.
Loss: 1 unit 20yr old TV.Ha ha. But again the trouble to make a police report and to go and repair/replaced a broken window!!!
So my friends, please Do Not Leave Anything in the car where it CAN be SEEN. These small time, drug addicts crooks aren’t bother about the value of the things!!! Just for a few ringgit…as long as they can get a ‘fix’ or a ‘high’ they will break into your car.
From my experienced, the things loss is barely Rm30.0…( a day at the pond!!!)…BUT the time wasted to make police report and send the car for repair!!!
That’s is frustrating.
Waiting whole day for a fish to bite is more fun!!!

of the rear window. So, you stop and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically run you over as they speed off in your car.
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your
money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are
now compromised!
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, lock your doors and just drive away.
Remove the paper later And be thankful that you
read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and
family, especially to women.
A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.

Be aware of such situation!
In 1976 I encountered this incident at Mount Huang (Yellow Mountain in
China): While taking photos, found that the subjects in the photos had
their hair standing straight up. I felt it was strange but they also told
me that my hair was also standing up! Feeling uncomfortable, we
quickly went downhill. Immediately we heard the sound of thunder
and then heavy rain…If you see this phenomenon, quickly run for
your lives…!!!
A lady who was admiring the scenery at a US garden suddenly felt her
hair stand on end; at that time the surrounding tourists found this amusing,
and her brother took a photo of her. Five minutes after the brother and sister
left, lightning struck, killing one person and injuring seven. If you meet with
similar circumstances in future while outdoors, immediately leave the area
and look for lower ground, to avoid tragedy.
Note: The fact that several people’s hair were standing straight up indicates
the presence of an electrical static charge in the area possibly due to the build
up of an impending lightning strike.
So as soon as you see people’s hair standing up, whether due to static charge or
ghosts…run to other lower grounds preferably not around tall trees, water pools
or any place with metal fencing or poles !! Do not hold any metals such as metal
umbrella handles , walking sticks OR FISHING RODS !
