Hi Nugget, the SOUTH EASTERLY wind came unexpectedly which hampered us from going to out usual spot in the open, for 2 nights and 2 days we were fishing near PuLau Pemanggil. The open sea with white caps and 30 knots wind is too choppy for us to fish in comfort.
What big fish did you bring Back?
my second day morning also are the same white caps…had to wait till noon…then ok…can’t complain much too bout the cacthes…
I caught my self a ikan merah 6.8kg in the first day…the second day only caught 1 ikan merah 7.6kg…
the waves…can’t even stand in da boat…how to fish… ? nex time go…bring bubu…fish trap…as a secondary weapon…wakakaka…just joking…

Our two nights of fishing was confined to the sheltered area of the island, we managed to land some ketaraps , ebek, cermin ,jemudok ,tambak,
snappers and plenty of squids, nothing spectacular. The opened area was affected by the SE/SW WIND [30 KNOTS] AND 2M + WAVES WITH WHITE CAPS.

Nugget, you mean the east coast right?. The Straits of Malacca is in the west, don’t get confused. Pulau Pisang is off Pontian west of Johor.
As a matter of fact, the shipping lane at the west coast is good fishing ground for kerapu, jenahak, tengirri, etc..except for the pirates keeping the anglers away from fishing there too often.

Any hard body minnow lures about 5 to 7 cm with bright colors will do, but do be careful, the pacu are lures crunchers. Can also use soft plastic.

The trip is definitely on, have to wait for Sunny to come to my shop first, then proceed to VITA. You don’t have to worry about dedak, I can supply you when we meet up at my shop on 15 july.
