the last time i check a 2.4mm thick clear polycarbonate is RM320.00 per sheet of 4’ x 6’
they also hv 1.6 or 1.5mm thick one too, if i’m not mistaken the priece is RM 280.00

if we ‘share-share’ buy, we can even buy both maybe the 3mm also hehehe

in Pg, u can get loads of Jelutong wood at Nanyang books store at Carnavan street, much cheaper than in KL
most of my supply comes frm there
everytime i go back to Pg, i sailang them hehehe

since u r at the Lure making paradise, u dont need to take jelutong wood, those pre-cut jelutong blanks would be much better hahahaha

This the first one that i built last 2 days, guiding by sifus in here… thanks a lot guys…

p/s: i use lip yang melengkung, from botol plastik mayonis, although it is mounted improperly, it still can swim, but not good enough, and im keep trying…

Beautiful paint job there Rusa, put a lot of us to shame. And great idea on using mayo jar for ur curved lip. I believe that plastic is a kind of purer quality PVC so it should be much tougher than acrylic. Good job.

ps; To get livelier tail action, try using thinner hook on the tail, the weight of tail hook if too heavy can dampend the action.

yes…it is important indeed to attach split rings and hooks when doing ur lure. or, conversely, u boleh tanggalkan split+hook on the original lure u were trying to imitate and observe dia punya buoyancy dalam air.

what i always do is throw the lure in the aquarium and watch. u can learn a lot from observation. but make sure ur tank got no toman la yea? hahahahha…i understand lures by watching how they float/sink/suspend in my tank.

or u can just throw that lure into Lapala’s tank (with jelawats, baungs and tarpon) and try…if they don bit means that it’s NOT BETTER THAN HIS LURES! hahaha…nah, just poking here a little.

remember to chuck it into the tank quite often to get the best results…

1st time aku baling kat dalam tank aku lure itu kena ngap ngan Oscar saya yg besaqnya ada macam tapak kaki…terus koyak painting kerana belum epoxy..haaa…gatal dibuatnya hahahha
