the former TamanTasik SM Nor.

The road outside the SMNor also lead to many PB spot.

to the left, it’s the Pengkalan lombong…along the short distance highway can see.

to the left, before the BG town. there’s a bridge beside the playground and can drive in to those mining ponds.
I once caught around 30 small PBs using spin fly…it’s fun.

SP,

i think your grandfather know where is Taman Tasik is. The place quite famous during 80’s where this a big entertainment park.
Btw, its quite near from CWS. If u lost, do call me…i’ll guide u there…lol

IMHO, I think SP has the best mindset on fishing hobby in all of this forum. Its the sports that counts, not how big is the fish he caught. If you want to compare with others, then the argument wouldn’t end. You caught a 20kg Patin before ? The next person caught a 40kg GT you know. So what with the 40kg GT ? The next person got a 80kg Grouper…It never ends…

Just like golf. Its not about the score. A true golfer with passion in the sports will enjoy the game even if he shoots a century everyday. Its the companionship, the sun, the outdoor, beer, the anticipation of “maybe a hole in one at the next par-3” that counts.

Feeling happy just to have the chance to cast out our lines is not something we can learn. That’s the spirit/attitude. If you are after big fish on every fishing trip, then you are not a true angler. Chances are you wont enjoy fishing in the long run

Thanks bro,its my belief that in whatever task i do its not achieving the goal that matters. Its the effort and pain i undertake in the process of achieving the goal that matters the most to me.We must not think of it as 3 hours empty handed without fish, but as 3 hours finding ways and methods that the fish will not bite.

bro..you got taken my point in a wrong manner…looking at sp with juvenilles fish is ice-cooler its not something that i would encourage or young anglers..(then again some might argue its aliens species and sp is helping to exterminate it)..its a self imposed ethic’s…again by sp portraying it…we’re sending the wrong message to kids out there…again…yes..its hard work…yes, fishing is about way of life, friendship and brotherhood…sorry to say..nothing wrong for sp to post the picture’s to share with the world of his achievement…again its up to individuals…some may agree and some may chose to differ…bro weng..what if the pictures we’re baby tapah, tomans and even kelah?..would you change you view on posting those picture…again this is for argument sake…lets think again..some may be angry if sp decide to relese back the baby pb’s as its an alien species and need to be exterminated…some may encourage him to practice it…then this is a no win situation…morally everyone is right…Bro SP…thats why i say think at the bigger picture…take all the imputs…you sit and think..what is right or wrong for yourself…its you…bro weng…sorry bro…i dont mean that way…

RK, save your breath bro.

Weng, is not the size of a catch we really talk about…is the thinking and mindset we are referring to.

SP, for your info, 2lb mono line doesn’t mean you can’t hook and land bigger fish. As RK advised, think further. I personally use 2lb ultra thin and hooked and landed 2-3kg of kelis before. Am not boosting myself but for your info don’t just brag about every little thing.

By the way, if I were you, I would just release the poor fishes back to the pond immediately rather than having them to be photo. I am sure you caught bigger fish than these. Unless otherwise then I have no further comment.

hey sengiran,
how’s everything ? Been to Tmn Desa lately ?

Actually the quote above talks about the size of fish all over it. Didn’t get what “thinking and mindset” RK is referring to…mind to explain a bit ? Would like to learn more about the correct mindset of fishing…

Haizzzzzzz…why all tha ketuking over some minor matters??? Big fish, medium fish, small fish or even no fish…so wat???

There are so many types of ppl in this world…some serious, some childish, so plain idiotic, some playful, some never grow old [like yours truly[:I]], some imitators, etc…it’s gonna hard to mix them well…lets just give and take lo…but having said that…even me CAN’T stand some real stupid and irritating comments/questions/pix that are posted[:(!]

Comradeship is the key to angling. We help each other out. There are always new techniques, recipes, ways, equipments, methods to be learn out there, no matter how experience or old we anglers are gonna be hence I dont really know what a true angler is gonna be like but to me whether true, false or imitations dont matter…lets just tolerate as much as possible, but do REMEMBER…there are LIMITS to tolerances too.</font id=“purple”>

Real ahpek [:D]

Very well said. That pretty well sums up the purpose of us being here. I agree that there should be no “ketuking” on size of fish in this “Fishing Report” section. Big, medium, small or no fish is also a report. And we should encourage these reports in the name of “fishing hobby”. Aren’t we all here for that ?

SP,
Please do update us on your future fishing trips in clearwater, whether the fish is big or small. Thanks for the contribution. BTW, Clearwater is one of the best designed golf course I have played before in Malaysia. I like it very much
