Did Wesley tell you that I also got one ( without the attached rod ) just over 3 kg ? Pretty boring by comparison to the one above !
Altogether a very good day … but like I said earlier … hope that the boss puts in some stock after the New Year festivities are over [:p][:p][:p]
Mike heard the fite was good 2 with fish taking so much lines with unstopable runs , BDW, would you and EK would be coming for the MFN Farewel and BBQ ?
Hmmmmm … it was certainly better than the normal lampams and baung, but I wouldn’t refer to the couple of Rohu as " unstoppable runs ". In my personal stories, these belong to the 10+kg patins that I used to catch in the now closed Uncle Chow’s Pond in Sg Tekali.
EK and myself went to Sukida today - got a few hits from the tiny tilapias and chichlids - until a fly guy came and emptied a bag of bread into the middle of the pond. Cannot understand what he was trying to do - berley, or feeding the fish ?
Would do bro..hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks..v found a place similar to Uncle Chow’s Pond, with giant patins, pacu, carps and tonns of residens talipia..where the owner gives the first Kilo for free : )
best part they serve ice cold green can’s slightly below the market price

Thanks a lot apek! You have been really helpful putting up these pictures.
It was an indeed a dream come true after fishing at FV for so long and it was ashamed the fish was caught when it foul hook itself at the bottom dorsal fin…definitely hilarious and amazing. Anyway it was a good fight and it took me about 45m using a10 foot rod with 25 pound line, luckily the hook line was 60 pound! After that tiring fight it was time to go home with a sore arm and whatever body.
I suspect it could be around 30+kg although the caretaker said 42kg with confidence…I wonder how could he be so accurate even without weighing…hahahaha…
What a trip indeed…will be cherished for sure…however the recipe is still eluding me…will try harder next round…adios
BYE BYE ALL… See u in FB - MFN page.</font id=“size6”></font id=“red”></font id=“Georgia”>
