Briank, I love innocent guys like you..

And I thought I am the only digital dinosaur here.

DSLR is Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras, those bigger cameras that have interchangeable lens capability.

Oh ya, the mama toman was caught by my friend Geno and the fries was following the mama during the fight. I am glad I took out the camera in time.

Seeing the fries sticking to the mama really tell us something. I am glad too I fished with a kind CnR kaki that promtly released the fish.

Ben has a THING for curvy things that moves. And He non stop bugs me and my other kakis on curvy dishes…[8D]

I thought you were a bit of a photographer. Hope Bluenose posts some of his excellent shots. I also remembered I saw some great photos from Minhan (or minghan?) of the HKC.

I am no photographer.. only play play.. don’t have the proper equipment for it.. Will dig out some photos later, is this thread limited to scenery shots??

ben any catches from eildon..that place is spectacular..not sure whether you experience trouts leaping on surface continuously when youre there ? As i did witness the amazing view of trouts leaping from surface during sunrise…amazing sights…i jus stood in awe…never knew they have this behavior..ehehe

would be nice to limit to photos of fishing spots or on the way to fishing spots

Eildon used be one of my favourite haunts. It is always great at first light. Trout jumps are spectacular. This was my first trip there in 7 or 8 years.

nice photos!! You really have travel lots, good on you. I am not sure NZ is most beautiful, I am sure there many other more nicer place.

Dawn at Rangitoto Island

Flicker, since you always want to fish for trout here!! These are some poison for you, photos take at lake Taupo:

Tongariro National Trout Centre
Where they breed trout to be release into taupo and all rivers that flow out/into Lake Taupo.

Juvenile Trout

Spot the trout?? The trout are being herded into pens so they could extract their roe and artificially fertilized:

Trout fishing musuem. Lots of information on the history of trout fisheries in Taupo. Coincidently the guy that was look after the museum is a Trout fishing guide:

Trout feeding on pellet thrown by tourist into the river adjoining the Trout Museum, these trout are free to swim along the river. Futher down river they are fair game for any fly fisherman:

Lake Taupo

Float plane on Lake Taupo, the mountain in the background is Mount Ruapehu, a live volcano that can erupt at any moment. Great skiing on the slopes too.:

One of many rivers flowing out of lake Taupo. Wouldn’t you like to live in that house at fork of the river??? Trout fishing heaven!!!

Another shot of the river. There is a natural hot water pool to the right of the photo. Trout could be seen swimming all along the length of this river!! Anyone wanna fly fish??
