Congratulation for opening the N9 fishing thread.
Seem there are several ponds near to the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lukut maybe you all can check them out for the fun of it.[:D][:D]

Actually, I know a good place at Kg. Kuala Sawah which has good potential for Snakehead. Just 5mins away from Abrimas paypond. Natural Snakehead habitat but problem is, it is under development as some developer is building a project there & it could consume whole place & destroy all the waters. Last trip I went there, no bites but I do see plenty of fish activity. Was using Spinnerbait & Inline spinners, didn’t use live bait.

PM me if interested to hook up for a session there.

Yup maguro, i think maybe that’s the same place i mentioned in my previous post, at a very small pond but very clear water yesterday i spotted pair of juvenile toman if not mistaken. today 4pm after work will go again n try :smiley:

about 2,3 big pond there but don’t know how to access n don’t dare to check alone. but there are several other toman pond around p.d we can try…from what i’ve seen and experienced,one in lukut n several in sua betong area, near poultry farms.

around kuala lukut also got several ponds connected to lukut river which got siakap, tarpon n milkfish(big2 size)…but very rare lah (biasa lah fishing; no catch is normal,got catch is abnormal ;as my fishing neighbor said)

yes, kg kuala sawah is under develpment and it is very progressive, i/m afraid the clean pond will be polluted by siltation from the earthworks.hmmm…

The free siakap pancing you mentioned, is it the concrete jetty in Lukut? Let me know if are going there,want to give a try on siakap fishing cos’ heard alot of stories about siakap fishing.

Monitor the tide and see whether you all can arrange for a Siakap casting trip. A potential location could be at the estuary of Sg. Tanah Merah and Sg Lukut Besar near or opposite Kg Teluk Meranti. Location info extracted from Google Maps.

I’ve been there before, but it’s just the front gate. It’s lock and I try to find the back way. Heard from kelvintan (Wai’s friend) that we need to drive 15mins through the hill road and will reach the back door. Not too sure but will check it out when I’m back to my In-Law’s in Kuala Pilah. Will keep you update.
