Henessy,
The Google map location you shown with the potential fishing spots are exactly where we can go for siakap casting. Anyone of you or may be Loque50350 can help to check whether the location is accessible to public. Also we need to ascertain when will be the high tide, an hour before and after (hope I am right) will be the best time for siakap casting. This coming Saturday the high tide will be around 4.40am and 4.53pm. Sunday 5.22am and 5.35pm.
Baits: Mid water hard body, soft plastic with spinner, Live prawn drifting or slow retrieve. Your saltwater pay pond experience will help.
there are other siakap spot where we can landbase fishing, but catch rate is considered fair using lures, livebait i never try there, but the paypond caretaker told me can use by drifting n slow retrive like maguro said . it’s just beside the new saltwater paypond.there got siakap, milkfish, tarpon (if not mistaken) and cichlids.tarpon n milkfish never caught but can be spotted, very hard to lure them closer to us, the best is try on boat :).
IMO, favorite time is morning till 10am (depends on surround temperature, i think cooler the better e.g after rain) and evening from 530 pm till sleepy haha, but all this depend on tide current. In my opinion, best time is morning 630-900, and the tide current is 3/4 before and after full hi-tide. just my opinion based on my observation n little experience, correct me if i’m wrong.. i’m also new in fishing
hmmm based on http://www.myfishing.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=81&Itemid=60
port dickson this coming saturday full hi-tide at 0902am 2.5m, maybe i’ll try that spot after i finish shift 0800am.
yesterday’s afterwork experiment still just that pair of small young toman curiously chasing propeler frog, think that’s just a puddle to compare with the neighboring big ponds.hmmm

. syok also…
i heard peoples fish for siakap at the rocky riverbank somewhere near to that wooden jetty, but closer to custom’s jetty. night time can see fluorescence sticks floating there.

This weekend can’t, perhaps next weekend. I plan to go there at night, after 9pm. Sharespeare/Kelvin, u got any plans next weekend, 15/16th Jan? We’ll try the Jetty 1st for 2 sessions then move up-river to the 2 river-joints, either find road to get there or extreme case scenario, rent a boat.
Anybody scare fishing at night see ‘kawan-kawan’?

Hennesy

Alright, who is available for fishing coming Sunday, 16th Jan? I’m fishing from 8am till 1pm. Planning to go Haruan hunting at Kg Kuala Sawah (20mins drive from Seremban). Anyone?
Location Description
- Location is situated right in the heart of Kg Kuala Sawah. An empty plot of land (currently under development).
- Interconnecting ponds of between round to oval shaped ponds, avg 10 to 15m radius. Some curves here & there.
- Depth wise, estimate anywhere from 0.5m to 1.5m deep at most.
- Water is brackish yellow, light pollution of oil & red soil. Relatively clean, minimal rubbish around banks.
- Snags is evidently everywhere, plenty of sunken logs & overgrown bushes. Still, plenty of clear waters.
- Surroundings, minimal trees, many have been fallen to make way for roads. Expect hot & humid atmosphere.
- Species expected: Snakeheads, but who knows? Don’t expect XXL fishes, it is a good spot to practice.
Those interested, PM via email or SMS me, 012-5088182.

Hennesy
