GT..GT..GT.. wait for me…
yup, ben is right. currently there is a healthy population of gamefish to play with. managed to hook onto a cobia last week, but tippet busted. i wouls say it’s about 5kg size from the looks of it. about 8 cobias died, ranging from 5 to 8kgs.
the 2nd batch of huge GTs did not do so well, still, there is about 30 plus for us to play with.
the ones that made it to fish heaven died due to saline shock, and transportation stress. FYI, the pond’s water source is from Sg Merbok which is brackish at the most, as it is a good 10-15km from Tg Dawai, hence the salinity difference from the sea.
i’ve been getting reports that cobias and GTs have been landed on a regular basis, and with proper handling, they are here to stay

I’m really looking forward to go to kakilai on the 19th to meet Pak Amin & geng + gt + cobia + steroid siakap [:D][:D][:D] sounds a bit scary with all those big fish inside the pond…i’ve never catch a big fish with fly set before…hopefully there’s someone to give me guide if i get the chance to hook up one of those big fish…[:D][:D]

Ah Kow will be hosting a Lady Fish catching session using PELLET FLIES at Bedong this Saturday between 6.30am and 11am.
Next session of fly fishing practice will be as follows :

To clarify…“pellet Flies”..you mean hook a pellet onto the fly line/sstup or real artificial pellet fly? cause somepeople hooked a pellet and fly it…and call it pellet fly???[;)][;)]

Tiger : no no, we have graduated from using the real pellets. Now that I curi 1 biji from Irhamy, I’ve gone back home to clone those rambutan looking pellet flies using deer hair and am so eager to try them out at Bedong this Saturday.
