Rods opinion - Lemax Black Rose

Hi,

Should be able to pass the rod to WKL2020 this Christmas weekend. I also have heard & read about many fished landed on the Black Rose without any problems. I wonder what went wrong with mine…maybe someone at home sabotaged me by sawing halfway through the rod…probably someone who is sick with all my fishing activities…[:0].

Chris,
How 2 contact u tis weekend forcarcass collection?

Hi guys,

Ya, well i just bought the Black Rose, slim version 5’6" & just caught my first fish with it, a 1.5kg Pacu. My verdict - either the Pacu was exceptionally strong…or the rod was too light. It was a nice fight, but the I didnt really feel that I was in full ‘control’ of the situation especially during the first 15 seconds of the fight. Yes, my beginners fish fighting skills may have had something to do with it [:I], but I have taken 3kg Pacu’s & even a 5kg Patin before on my Abu Conolon and the control factor was much better. I like the lightness of the rod, I cast well with it, but doesn’t seem to have enough backbone for a strong fish.

All rods can break if you mishandle it or using the wrong specs. I have two Lemax Black Rose, one 7footer and one 8footer which I used them for ebek, tengiri, sharks[10kg size lah], grouper, etc, etc… In my recent Rompin trip, the 7footer Black Rose landed a sailfish about 30kg.
