they both cast equally well and far. but i dun like the feel of both reels. both feel like plastic. haha. [if i wanted a good plastic reel, i'd look for another... er... never mind...]
anyway, both reels didn't give me the 'refined' feel that one would expect from reels in this price range.
we tried about 10 other reels with the same setup, and truth is... they all fall only slightly short of the t3 and scorpion dc's casting distance.
for now, i think most of us will stick with our cheap reels.
but personally, if i were forced to choose… i’d go for the scorpion dc, because of the price.
ahem***, the price i paid for the T3 is alomost same as someone here who paid for a BNIB Morrum SX1601c Forell [:D]
well, I still don’t know anyone that pick up a t3 after holding it for few hours. but I do know a particular reel got a few friends to go nuts about it. bantam rulezzzzzzzzzzz
I’m still nuts bout conquest 51… time to sell off mine n get a new one soon…
Btw, think this thread should be put to rest already, wat has been said, had said… my opinion still the same, will go for the dc anytime for all the obvious reason, only a dumb fool will argue that
I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!

So you mean I'm a dumb fool, for choosing the T3 over Scorpion DC, and argue it was better than the DC?
No point being shallow minded and look for a small point in a haystack when there’s a wider array of good in other product. Tat’s definitely not wat the title is asking for. It’s not about brand but how good the brand’s product could perform in their price point, longevity, strength etc

Phew! Weather sure is hot today. A day that I would prefer to cool myself and sit in air-conditioned room and wait for bro FiR3 TiG3R to do a review on Scorpion DC similar to what he does for T3…get a 5 mins break and some cool iced tea is sure welcoming for all.
Managed to molest a T3 at a tackle shop yesterday.
Been using daiwa products all the while but i have to say, this T3 is abit over rated. While it is light due to zaion, i think its some kinda carbon material? And futuristic like some kinda pagani zonda car.. Its missing have that solid jdm feel, maybe its just me. And from what i read, its made in thailand…
i think i would rather use an antares.. shrugs
With that said, it would be interesting to see the next generation daiwa reels. Hopes its not some stupid t3 type-r fad again. Hate those stupid money milking ideas.

Dun kutuk ppl for buying a NIB Forell at a T3’s price la… Just because u got a NIB Forell yourself for less than RM900!
Besides, it’s a no-brainer la. Put the two reels side-by-side with the same price tag, anybody would grab the Forell without hesitation.

Guys, to each his own la…
No point arguing bout these things… We all kena kutuk before for our points of view.
Take each other’s comments with a pinch of salt. If not enough, take the whole salt shaker.
If still not enough, we organise a debate, face-to-face; or even a well-refereed sparring session, fist-to-face. Maybe can help raise funds for conservation work also. Hahaha!

Yes, bro Mama…
TJS was meaning to say that you bought a R-E-E-L with your RM1k.

It’s not just you. I felt the same lack of ‘solid’ feel when casting the t3 too.
And I feel that way about the scorpion dc too.
Although, I dun really care where the reels are made la. As long as the quality of built is there.
Btw, i’m not trying to kutuk anyone, and for the matter i do not want to kutuk T3 also
just tat MFN is a place to share and gain knowledge, not to spread lies or giving wrong impression. It’s totally uncalled for…
just imagine u take someone advice n bought somehting which turns out to be overhyped or downright not wat you wanted, does that feels cool? No i don’t think so… i personally been there before, n being parent’s dependent most of the time i simply couldn’t afford to get a wrong purchase or end up suffering for a few months.
i just hope that MFN will be like yesteryears where every opinions are well directed to, not diverted to as it is now…

No worries, it’s your purchase and it’s your right… as long as u r happy of it then should be fine liau, i’d be happy for u too.
me too bought conquest51 also wat, which many will claim not adequate power lah, not fast lah, round lah, not comfortable la, ah pek lah etc… but so far it’s still my fav go to reel. Because it suits me! N i caught n landed so many fishes with it without much problem(ofcos there’re times it’s not suitable lah, but nothing’s perfect wat! tat’s y tat’s not the only reel i own lol)

wah, suddenly this thread so active…
aiya, you know me la, i was pulling a fast one on S.D. Also, I dun mean that he over-paid for his forell, it’s discontinued, hard-to-find brand new, more so for a “golden classic reel” lefty is virtually impossible to get liao. Given that i have a T3 and casted a forell, i would have as you said, sapu the forell even if they are the same price, if i have to choose only one. Just that thanks to your heads up, i managed to find a brand new forell for less than rm900.
Again, i wish to say it again, knowing people like u, G, Wusharrox and TJS is going to be the biggest regret in my life.
