Sifu Putus King, when you mention prepare more bread, how do you secure the bread to the hook? Sorry for the noobie question here, i am really new to fishing…

If you want to try to whack the tilapias in pond 3 - there were hundreds of the pinkies, in groups of 6 - 12, all over the surface - but they did not even respond to Gardenia slices.
I brought Gardenia bread, butter bun, coconut bread, plain bun, sweetened yellow bun, roti chanai kosong - well, at least I did not get hungry on Tuesday. [^]
Not too sure about other ponds coz i mainly fish at the 30 bucks pond. When the bite rate is good it’s not impossible to whack 20 over tilipias a day.
It’s easy to hook the bread as bait. Cut a normal gardenia bread into 1/2 then peel of the ‘skin’. Roll the slice of bread on the upper half of the hook and when it looks like a popiah then push the hook edge on the outter layer of the bread barely covering it. Squeeze the bread and cast it out.
I like to fight the rohus over there and the big sized pacus are very good fighter as well…I’m gonna downgrade to 6lbs mono on the next trip and check out whether will it snap. Foul hooked a plabuk on my last trip and managed to land it using 8lbs mono.

In our case, we were messing around in the huge 2nd pond - the Rm 20 for 4 hours pond. All I got was mini Soon Hocks.
The tilapia pond I was referring to is the next up - if you pay the Rm 20, you get to fish in this one FOC.
just went to FV this morning with 2 of my frens, starting at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., fishing at RM20 for 4 hours pond ( pond no. 2 i guess)… just managed to caught 2 lampam size around 1kg & 2 bandaraya fish (released back into the pond).. we’re using mixture dedak + pandan oil, & gardenia bread + coconut + pandan oil as our bait.. thought we will get a lot of fish but failed to do so.. anyone have fishing in FV lately?? just wanna know the coreect bait.. ceh.like this i wanna go to diz pond la tommorow.cannot tahan tengok ‘big game’ fish.i always go to tangguk2.but now feel like semua ikan kat situ dah makan awal2 n kenyang2.so now i shud try a new spot.[:)]

Went to this pond today and it was worth every minute spent there. I was there from 8am to 6pm and I landed 30 pacus ranging from 2-4kg with a couple of lampam and a baung thrown in. And the fish there fight like they’re on steriods, they’re much stronger from those in the normal ponds found in ulu langat. I just wish I could hook a plabuk or two. Hehehe

Did you fish at the catch and release pond of the main pond? what bait did u use? Sounds really good…if it was so good i will drop by the pond this weekend.
