Yes Ti… It was at first UFO stand for United Flyanglers Organizer, then later I discuss with Dr Ling and Yew Kong… the UFO confirmed change to United Flyanglers Organization.

I am touched by the support I am getting now from all my fishing brothers. Thank you and welcoming you guys to the EAK gotong Royong project. As sifu Dron suggested we need to have a meeting to set up the agenda and proceed with the purchasing of the necessary materials and equipment required.

I just ordered 150 pcs of 12 footer long Bakau Piles for the leg of the platform and coming this friday. The plank will be purchased later.Other than that I need to know what else and how much to purchase. Anybody know how to pile in the Bakau piles into the water??? Any suggestion??
Once again on behalf of FFLCC at EAK, I wish to welcome you guys and sincerely thank you for the support.

Please let me know the date. Another thing is that I need to write in and inform the new pengurus and the Minister dept. on this event once I got the date for it.

Hi Nik, this is what we do if we wanna pile in pancang into waters…but nowadays we no more uses bakau, we use PVC pipe filled with concrete or GI ‘C’ pipe…[:D]

Tie a rope on the bakau, den twist it on a piece of GI Pipe then 2 ppl start jumping up and down. After that, use a 16lbs hammer to pile it to the depth you want, after that ‘saw’ it to the lenght/height you want…[:D]

Guys… Can we call for a meet up on Sunday morning at EAK..?

Those who can make it on Sunday morning, let’s have a kick off meeting to discuss with Nik on the gotong royong works… Draw out a layout plan, come out with construction drawing, plan on materials, man power, tools, date and time, writing in to relevant authority for approval, future improvement to EAK… And others matters…

Those who can’t make it, will be brief layer..

i agree with KURAUKING. Nowdays, we are not longer using bakau/nibong anymore. And the method to pile the tiang is the right simple way with a minimum cost.

By the way, I’m a member of Persatuan Pengail Selangor. We did a few times gotong royong to repair our jetty. We used concrete pipe filled with concrete. But for EAK, I’m not sure whether we really need a very strong or permanent jetty..

As Dron suggestion, we should discuss & come out with a layout plan, etc. But on this sunday, I’m so sorry that I can’t join you all guys. I’m going to Kenyir. Sebarau is calling my split tails…[:D]

i should be free sunday morning, i will be there. but i got a slight confession to make.

i cant do heavy duty chores. I was diagnose with “slip” disc 2 yrs ago..so i have frequent lower back pain and can’t carry heavy stuff. if i do, i will be lying on my bed the next day in pain. luckily i’m still able to do fishing.

so what time should be meet on sunday?

I cant make it on Sunday morning…have a wedding kenduri in Lipis on Saturday (my brother’s post wedding kenduri) …will try to be at EAK maybe after lunch time Sunday the earliest…anyway..good luck guys and gals… [:D] but Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday no problem…[:D]

Dron,

I suggest we start a FB page or something similar.

That way, we can keep members posted and also invites can be sent for events which we run. And they can then RSVP as to whether they can attend or not.

Also have discussion forum in there as well.

However, of course, this means, people must have an FB account ler… but then, nowadays, who doesn’t?
