Fans are supposed to be able to add photos in their own Fan photos section. I’ll look into it.

Haha… Still new with this Fan page thingy.

And BTW, I switched to Fan from Group page because under Group, we could not create Photo Albums.

Justin, the settings are set to allow Fans to post photos.

Update: Sorry guys… it appears to be a FB bug that will not allow Fans to upload their photos, though the settings are already set to allow it. Will dig some more to see if any solution appears.

OK guys… you can post photos to the Fan photos section of UFO.

Just click on the Wall, attach a picture and it will then appear in the Fan photos section of the Fan page.

Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way for you to attach multiple pictures or to create photo albums at this time on the Fan page.

Not being an ass about it Andrew . I know you put in a lot of effort in this. But I still think Group would be better. There are more options to it really.

I know it’s not perfect but Fan page has all the options of Group ie. events, discussion, etc… plus we can now create photo albums… whereas in Group, we couldn’t.

Most important is we get the message out to the fly fishers… be it thru this site or FB or whatever means.

20th December 2009,

UFO 4 EAK project team call for a meeting with Nik Rahimi of FFLCC of EAK of Bkt Cherakah..

Tony wee, Andrew Tang, Ben Foo and my self had a meeting with Nik this morning at EAK, below are the some details of the meeting:

  1. Nik show us the proposal submitted to the Dato’ of MOA.
  2. FFLCC need to improve the infra and facilities of EAK to convince MOA to keep EAK as a Fly Fishing and Lure casting center.
  3. FFLCC have long term plan for maintaining and preserving EAK as a Fly Fishing and Lure Casting cum recreation center for FF community
  4. The improvement that proposed in the the proposal..
    - a) To improve the signage at entrance area
  • b) To build-up a multi-purpose are… replace existing canopy with a proper roof structure
  • c) To build a proper reception kiosk
  • d) To up grade existing notice / photo gallery panel
  • e) To put in some resting hut / gazebo around the pond
  • f) To put in a lot of fishing platform
  • g) To construct a proper jetty
  • h) To built chalets around the pond
  • i) To put in a proper play ground, barbecue area, Surau, campsite, toilet and others facilities for recreation purpose
  • j) To stock more fishes
    - k) To improve water quality

Base on the above proposal, we feel that the most critical that need to be put in at this moment are the fishing platforms… which will encourage more people to come in to fish…

After some technical discussion and sketches… we believe the most simple and yet most cost effective way to construct the platform is to build the floating platform using bakau pile, float drum and wooden plank.

Nik have bought 120 psc of Bakau tree trunks, and he will bring in all necessary construction materials like; wooden plank, PVC Drum, rope, nail, saw, hammers.. and others before 2nd January 2010.

The project committees will organize a gotong royong campaign to build the platform on Saturday morning 8am on 2nd January 2010. We also would like to invite all Fly Fishers and Lure Casters who are willing to contribute their help to EAK, show their support, come in to help building the platform together.

We plan to put up as many platform as possible on Saturday, 2nd January… the rest of the platform will continue the following weeks until we have all the platform ready.

Other that that, some simple work like barbecue area and painting work could also be carry out if we could enough man power..

Pls register your interest with the committee members or Nik, so we can plan the man power and works… off course, for the food and refreshment too.

I believe it’s going to be a very fun and meaningful event… with lots of helping hands around in EAK… everyone gotong royong to build up something, for all of us.. and for our future generation…

Actually the above pictures were all prepared by our xTOMANx - En. Ikhwan himself. Ikhwan has been helping me on the landscape of the EAK. He is a very talented landscape architect/ and recently fly fisho too.

Thank you Ikhwan and the rest of you guys especially Mr. Dron for initiating this.

Can I suggest a floating platform that can be moved around? something like a raft. Thats really good for fly fishing I supposed rather than a boat?

Floating jetty is a good idea too but you will easily spook the fish once you step on it.

I hv an idea for the upper dam. Pls give a comment..

I’m not sure about the actual pond size, so I agak-agak only…
The pond will be divided into 2. Fishing area & non-fishing area.

At the fishing area; where we should build a long jetty or 2 long jetties (depending on pond size)) to accommodate more people to fish at one time. The idea to give a gap between 80-100ft is a max reachable distance to cast & present our fly.

Non-fishing area is a place for fish to breed & live in a natural way..
