Amateurs built the ARK.
Professionals built the TITANIC..
Wah… Today whole body aching… [:D]
But it was truly worth it.
The sense of pride, achievement & satisfaction at seeing the finished product is indescribable.
To all who took part and give up your precious weekend, give yourselves a pat on the back. Job well done and it was a pleasure working with u guys! [:D]
Guys and Gal,
Good job on the platform construction, sorry i was not able to join on 2nd Jan. i’ll try to make it on 9th Jan instead.
however i was there on 3rd Jan. the platform is definitely helping anglers in landing the jelawats!! i manage to land 3 jelawats on the platform.
but after a few run on the platform, its getting more and more unstable. knots are getting loosen, pillar(s) are getting dettached, etc…
do you think that we might need to get some help from ppl who have expertise in construction of floating platform??
i have to agree with you lah mr.ky_soon..i was also there on the 3rd (yesterday)…landed a 6 or so jelawats ..i must say that the platform really does help to make it easier to reach the jelawats…but the out-most platform is getting a little bit flimsy…1st and 2nd is still OK…the knots as long as it holds with a little bit of play is OK..the main concern is the piles…they are getting loosened (the last platform)…
fishing wise..i must say that a striping basket will help a lot..and two people flying at a time is just nice..three is a little bit crowded..other than that …the platform really does help a lot.
MOHAMED IKHWAN NASIR

Congrats all!! Nicely done.
Whats the two pipe looking things out in the water in front of the platform by the way?
Alamak the strings are loosening? Apa ni? Fishing kakis and fly tyers didnt tie properly ar? hehe
Waaa [:0]!! Nicely done guys. Nice color too!!!
Congratulation for all. I am not very good in construction, but don’t you guys think the PVC drum will limit the movement? Since the water level at the dam will not change quite rapidly, why don’t we raise it higher and make it permanent so it will be quite sturdy?
Don’t get me wrong guy, you guys did a very good job. Like I said I am not very good engineer, you guys probably know more that I do, just my curiosity. I know somebody will say, talk is easy. Ignore my curiosity if it doesn’t make sense at all.
Cheers
